Favorite Place on Campus: The West Staircase

Why I joined Blue Crew: I love sitting at the top of the west staircase next to the Glass Bowl. I waited there prior to my initiation for Blue Crew, and being able to see the top of each campus building illuminated in the twilight made the Rocket pride I have surge through my entire being. Plus, you really cannot beat the energy and history of the Glass Bowl itself (oldest stadium in the MAC!)

My favorite Blue Crew memory: The intensity in our women's basketball team in the 2009-2010 season was unparalleled in the conference. When they came to face the #20 ranked University of Dayton Flyers, nerves ran high, and too many people underestimated our players. Savage Arena packed in Rocket Fans, and our ladies showed their best efforts of the season. The best part of that game was running over to the side opposite where BC normally stands with Remix in the final minutes of the game. Together, we convinced fans who were sitting to jump on their feet and scream like maniacs. There are few sounds more beautiful than the eruption of applause and cheering I heard from that same section after Naama Shafir sank two crucial free throws to seal the Rockets' rightful victory.
